Job description
About Intelic
Intelic builds the software that makes uncrewed systems work in contested environments. Our platform, Nexus, is a C2 system for heterogeneous drone fleets operating where comms break down and GPS drops out. We integrate with NATO battle management systems, deploy with Ukrainian forces in active operations, and work directly with the Dutch Ministry of Defence and allied partners to define what next-generation drone warfare looks like.
About the role
Relationships, strategy, long games, real stakes. If those words resonate, keep reading.
You are the kind of person who thrives in a complex, long-term engagement. Not because you like the process for its own sake, but because you are genuinely curious about the people on the other side — what they need, how they think, what it takes to earn their trust. You know how to read a room, work a long cycle, and keep momentum without pushing too hard. You are equally comfortable in a boardroom and at a trade show dinner, and you know that the best agreements are built on relationships, not decks.
At Intelic, you will be doing exactly that — but in one of the most consequential sectors in Europe right now. You will be building relationships with Ministries of Defense across the continent, guiding them from first conversation to signed framework agreement for Nexus, our platform for unmanned systems. Based in Amsterdam, you will have real ownership over your region and your pipeline, with the support of a tight commercial team behind you.
What you will be doing
Identify and develop relationships with Ministries of Defense across your geographic remit, from initial outreach through to signed framework agreements
Build and maintain a pipeline of MOD opportunities, understanding where each is in their procurement cycle and what it will take to move them forward
Represent Intelic at defense industry events, trade shows, and bilateral government meetings across Europe
Work closely with the Head of Revenue and the broader commercial team to align strategy, share market intelligence, and coordinate on key accounts
Contribute to proposals, briefings, and tender documents in collaboration with engineering, product, and leadership
Feed insights from the field back into the product and go-to-market strategy — you will be talking to the people who shape how drones are used in Europe, and that knowledge matters
What we are looking for
We value commercial instinct and the ability to build genuine relationships above sector-specific background. You bring structure to ambiguity, stay persistent without being pushy, and know how to make progress in environments where nothing moves quickly. You are someone who takes ownership — of your pipeline, your region, and the quality of the relationships you build.
You will bring:
A track record in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships — preferably in a B2G or complex B2B environment
Experience working with or selling to government bodies, defense organizations, or large institutional clients — not required, but it gives you a head start
Comfort operating in long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and decision layers
Strong communication skills in English; one or more additional European languages is a genuine advantage
A structured, independent working style — you will be managing your own pipeline and travel, and you need to stay on top of it
Comfortable with frequent international travel across Europe — visiting partners, attending events, and meeting stakeholders in person is a core part of this role
A bonus if you also bring:
An existing network in government, defense procurement, or the European defense industrial base
Familiarity with European defense programs (EDF, NATO frameworks, bilateral MOD structures)
A background in defense primes, consultancy, or public sector advisory
What success looks like
In your first year, you will be expected to:
Build active relationships with MODs across your target geographies and develop a credible, qualified pipeline
Work towards closing your first framework agreements — we set ambitious targets knowing that a single closed deal is a strong result in this cycle
Develop a working understanding of the procurement landscape in your region and where Intelic fits
Feed concrete market intelligence back to the team that helps shape how we develop and position the product
Why join Intelic
You will be working on something that matters — technology that has real operational impact in active defense contexts
This is a small, international team at a genuine inflection point. Your work will be visible and your input will shape how the function grows
The commercial team is being built deliberately and thoughtfully. You will have direct access to leadership and a short feedback loop between what you learn in the field and what we build
Amsterdam-based, with a team that operates across multiple languages and geographies
What we offer
Our Amsterdam office is at NDSM — a former shipyard on the IJ, raw industrial architecture, open space, and views over the water
25 vacation days per year (full-time)
Sports membership
Bike plan

Travel reimbursement
