Information Security Officer

Build the Security Backbone of a Defense-Grade Autonomy Company

Intelic builds mission-critical autonomy software for unmanned systems in the defense domain. We handle classified information, operate under export control constraints, and deliver to customers where security is non-negotiable. Security is not a support function, it is foundational to everything we build.

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to own and lead our security function. You will establish and operate our ISMS, drive ISO 27001 certification, ensure ABRO compliance, and embed security across our people, processes, and technology.

You report directly to the CTO, are part of the leadership team, and have the mandate and budget authority to define and enforce security standards across the organization.

What You'll Own

• ISMS & Governance — Design and operate a formal ISMS, risk register, and security reporting structure

• ISO 27001 & ABRO — Lead certification and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable defense regulations

• Security Architecture — Define requirements for infrastructure, endpoints, access control, and monitoring

• Product Security — Own secure SDLC governance, vulnerability management, and CI/CD security requirements

• Incident Response — Establish detection, response, and resilience processes

• Security Awareness — Build a security-conscious culture through training and organization-wide engagement
  

What Success Looks Like in Year 1

A fully operational ISMS. ISO 27001 certified. Security embedded in leadership decisions, engineering practices, and daily operations. The organization knows its threat model and acts accordingly.

Security is no longer implicit. It is structured, visible, and enforceable.

Scope & Growth

You will own and lead our security function. As the company scales beyond 100 employees and project complexity increases, this role is expected to evolve into Head of Security.

You are not a compliance administrator.

You are building the foundation on which compliance, resilience, and operational credibility depend.
